Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our primary care service, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based psychological therapies to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will have the autonomy to manage your caseload and work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver effective treatment plans. You will be responsible for assessing and supporting individuals with common mental health problems, providing guidance and support to carers and families, and promoting wellbeing and social inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems, using evidence-based interventions and therapies.
  • Provide guidance and support to carers and families, promoting their understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver effective treatment plans and promote recovery.
  • Manage your caseload, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely interventions.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mental Health Practitioner who possesses the following skills and qualifications:

  • Postgraduate Certificate in Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Training or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with individuals with common mental health problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based psychological therapies and interventions.
