About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary care talking therapy services to adults with mild to moderate mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide low-intensity psychological therapy services to individuals, carers, families, and groups, adhering to best evidence-based practice and trust care pathways.
  • Communicate and liaise with other professionals involved in the individual client's treatment and ongoing mental health care.
  • Assess and support people with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the departments referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.
  • Provide a range of information and support for evidence-based high-volume low-intensity psychological treatments, including guided self-help computerised CBT and information about pharmacological treatments.

Requirements

  • Qualification from PWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate or Level 3 undergraduate course) or equivalent Experienced and qualified Graduate Mental Health Worker with relevant Primary Care experiences and competences.
  • Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem.
  • Demonstrates high standards in written communication and able to write clear reports and letters.
  • Experience of working in Primary Care Services.
