Senior Contracts Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Officer to join our Pharmacy and Optometry Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management and commissioning of pharmacy and optometry contracts in the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate the contract application process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of applications.
- Oversee payments processes, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and financial regulations.
- Coordinate bank holiday provision, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Provide analytical support to the team, undertaking complex information analysis and identifying best practice.
- Deliver against organisational objectives, achieving quality outcomes and prioritising workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Support the implementation of strategic modernisation and service improvement initiatives, public health, workforce, or commissioning strategies.
- Participate in internal and external working groups, providing information and analytical advice to the teams.
- Experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area, with further training or significant experience in project management, financial management, or supporting change management processes.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or health information systems development.
- A good understanding of the health and social care environment, roles and responsibilities within it, and experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands and make decisions on difficult and contentious issues.
- Able to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including clinicians, frontline staff, and external partners.
