About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Procurement department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our contracts and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of high-profile contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and legal requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of Contract Managers, including the completion of human resources procedures, appraisals, and workload planning.
  • Develop and implement contract management plans to ensure the successful delivery of contracts and SLAs.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to stakeholders on contract management best practices and procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks associated with contract management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Monitor and report on contract performance, including KPIs and financial metrics.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in contract management, procurement, and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management principles, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
