About the RoleThe role sits within the Product Control - Documentation department, looking after the documentation and legal negotiations of the different asset classes and derivatives. As an OTC Confirmation Templates and Master Confirmation Agreements (MCA) Negotiator, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and analysing legal discrepancies between client's standard confirmation templates and amending requests received from counterparties for a particular deal.
- Taking necessary actions to solve template issues and creating specific templates for similar trades going forward.
- Amending existing generic confirmation templates to accommodate new trades.
- Identifying, performing preliminary checks, and drafting Master Confirmation Agreements.
- Analysing amendment requests and taking actions to reach agreement on all terms of the MCA.
- Implementing it into internal systems.
- Identifying MCAs eligible for electronic platforms, such as MarkitWire.
- Exploring and implementing MCAs on the platform and on-boarding.
- Assisting documentation teams with questions related to confirmation templates and ISDA Definitions.
- Ensuring follow-up of changes related to ISDA Definitions and market practices, and attending ISDA/EMTA/MarkitWire/Industry working group sessions.
We require:
- Knowledge of different ISDA Definitions, including the 2021 ones.
- Good OTC derivative product knowledge (IRD, FX, EQD).
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Great capacity to work independently and deliver results in a timely manner.
