About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Lakes Distillery. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of seasonal menus and bespoke event menus
  • Manage stock processes, including stock levels and stock rotation, and assist in stock takes
  • Support the Head Chef in all food hygiene, health & safety, and training policies and processes
  • Assist the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen team, including issuing rotas, managing leave, completing timesheets, and dealing with HR matters
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept in an immaculate condition, including responsibility for the maintenance of all equipment
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in managing both people and processes
  • Experience in and a clear understanding of stock management processes
  • Ability to work as part of a wider business team as well as under own initiative
  • Must have the right to work within the United Kingdom
