Job Title: Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at Inomed Neurocare. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care and surgical outcomes in various types of surgeries, including spinal, brain, and brainstem procedures.

About the Role:

As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring the integrity of the patient's nervous system during various procedures. You will work closely with the surgeon and theatre team, providing real-time monitoring and informing them of any changes to help guide surgical decisions and reduce the risk of neurological injury.

You will be responsible for placing electrodes on the patient, operating intraoperative neuromonitoring machines to collect and interpret data, and informing the surgeon of any changes. You will remain present in the operating theatre throughout the duration of the procedure to provide real-time monitoring and handle pre- and post-operative duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a range of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring techniques for a variety of surgeries.
  • Produce clinical reports.
  • Progress through the training program by completing theoretical exams and practical clinical assessments.
  • Create pre and post-operative reflection documents.
  • Daily communication with teammates/seniors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum one year experience in intraoperative neuromonitoring (required for the clinical specialist position). Applicants with less or no experience will be considered for the Clinical Specialist Trainee position.
  • A Master's or Doctorate Degree in a neuroscience-related discipline.
  • A degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., neurophysiology, neuroscience, or a related field).
  • Willingness to travel to various locations across the UK to provide services as needed.
  • Fluent in English.
