Senior Care Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Elmbrook Court. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of care assistants to provide high-quality care to residents.
  • Manage the day-to-day needs of residents, including medication administration and care planning.
  • Deliver exceptional care, ensuring residents receive the highest standard of care and support.
  • Ensure all areas of the care home are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.
  • Support family members and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Assist with meals and daily activities, promoting a sense of community and social interaction.
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years' experience in delivering care or as a senior care assistant.
  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up or working towards it).
  • Trained in medication administration.
  • Excellent people and customer service skills.
  • Ability to induct and supervise junior staff.
  • Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Caring attitude and flexible approach.
