About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Team Leader to join our Theatre team. As a Deputy Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Team Leader in the management of the Theatre team, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care in a safe and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Team Leader in the management of the Theatre team, including planning and prioritizing workloads, allocating tasks, and monitoring progress.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as Anaesthetics and Recovery, to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, including training and development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment, adhering to Trust policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Theatre or similar environment, with a strong understanding of patient care and safety.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a desire to stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
