Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced healthcare professional to be appointed as Team Leader of Maternity Theatres across York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking a candidate with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills who can empower and inspire a team and has a passion for developing our maternity theatre services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality maternity theatre services.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of hospital cleanliness and infection control.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team.
  • Contribute to the development of maternity services across the trust.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Level 1) / Registered Operating Department Practitioner / Registered Midwife.
  • Recognised teaching/assessing qualification.
  • At least 2 years post-registration experience at Band 6 or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing and leading a team.
  • Budget management.
  • Audit & Standard setting.
  • Clinical leadership.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Service development and/or change management.
