About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Mappin & Webb. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in guiding, mentoring, and developing a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Performance Management: Manage and monitor team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive an exceptional service experience, responding to their needs and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate a strong understanding of commercial principles and practices, making informed decisions to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Organisational Skills: Develop and maintain effective systems and processes to ensure efficient operation of the sales floor, including stock management, visual merchandising, and inventory control.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders, providing clear and concise information and feedback.
- Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment and training of new team members, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the role.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a retail management role, with a strong track record of delivering sales growth and customer satisfaction.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of sales professionals.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions to drive sales growth and profitability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
