Position Overview

A prominent manufacturing organization is seeking a Procurement Manager to become an integral part of their Senior Leadership Team.

This position is pivotal within the Management Team, contributing to informed strategic and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

You will oversee the Procurement function and manage the company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain, supervising 2 direct reports.

  • Anticipating demand levels for products and services
  • Evaluating optimal products and suppliers based on value, delivery timelines, and quality
  • Managing budget and forecasting activities
  • Overseeing daily operational functions
  • Negotiating and finalizing contracts while ensuring service quality
  • Fostering supplier relationships
  • Participating in supplier meetings and industry conferences
  • Collaborating with the quality team to ensure product excellence
  • Formulating and executing new strategies aligned with organizational goals and business plans
  • Implementing cost-saving initiatives
  • Identifying procurement-related risks
  • Analyzing data to generate reports and statistics on expenditures versus savings
  • Leading the team through motivation, training, and coaching
  • Conducting monthly one-on-one meetings

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of inventory and supply chain management
  • CIPS - Level 6 certification or in progress
  • Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Manager with team management responsibilities
