About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Business Support Unit as a Business Support Assistant. The successful candidate will work as part of a Business Support Hub, providing efficient and effective administrative support to our Children Services teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to our Children Services teams, including word processing, minute taking, and data entry.
  • Work with a range of colleagues and external agencies to ensure seamless support to our teams.
  • Undertake a variety of tasks, including finance and purchasing functions, using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely records, using various software systems.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, using excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Administration, Business, or IT, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working with information databases and Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to observe confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to travel around the borough in a timely manner.
