Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor to join our team at the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Mental Health Practitioner Supervisor, you will play a key role in delivering evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues in schools and colleges.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with school staff to support children and young people with mental health difficulties, their families, and staff to foster a whole school approach to mental well-being. You will also be expected to work in schools closely with school staff to support CYP, their families and staff to foster a whole school approach to mental well-being.
This role requires flexibility and adaptability, and above all, a passion for working with children and young people with mental health difficulties within an educational context.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues in schools and colleges.
- Work closely with school staff to support children and young people with mental health difficulties, their families, and staff to foster a whole school approach to mental well-being.
- Undertake assessments of children and young people and deliver evidence-based low-intensity group and individual interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate anxiety and depression and/or behavioral difficulties and their families and carers.
- Consolidated postgraduate experience working in child and adolescent mental health.
- Experience of delivering evidenced-based CBT interventions for mild to moderate mental health issues such as anxiety, low mood, and behavioral problems to CYP both individually and in groups.
- Knowledge of risk management and ability to monitor and assess risk and act accordingly to ensure safety.
