Clinical Risk Manager Job Description

Clinisys is a global leader in diagnostic informatics solutions, empowering laboratories to redefine the modern diagnostic workflow. With a presence in over 4,000 laboratories across 39 countries, our 1,450+ expert professionals are dedicated to enhancing diagnostic effectiveness and ensuring citizen safety.

Role Overview:

The Clinical Risk Manager will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing processes to minimize harm to patients and users of Clinisys products. This involves conducting clinical risk assessments, developing risk mitigation plans, and collaborating with Product Development teams to ensure the highest level of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement clinical risk management processes to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  2. Collaborate with Product Development teams to develop risk mitigation plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Conduct thorough clinical risk evaluations on incidents or defects, identifying root causes and recommending effective mitigations.
  4. Interface with external clinical personnel to discuss risks and mitigations, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of clinical risks.

Requirements:

  1. Deep understanding of software functionality, usability, and infrastructure used in Health IT systems.
  2. Application of Risk Assessment processes for products and processes in a clinical domain.
  3. Ability to recognize how errors in Health IT systems can result in patient or user harm and recommend effective mitigations.
  4. Ability to create and implement clinical risk management plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Moderate understanding of software development processes and product lifecycle.
  6. Bachelor's or advanced degree in a health or scientific discipline.
  7. Qualified and experienced Clinician with current registration in a relevant professional clinical field.
  8. Training in Risk Management processes and techniques in a clinical domain.
