About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Network Rail as an Operations Support Specialist, providing administrative support to the line manager and contributing to the smooth operation of the section.

Key Responsibilities

1. Administration of rosters and timesheets, ensuring accurate and efficient management of staff schedules.

2. Updating systems, databases, and records as required, including opening and closing works orders as directed.

3. Supporting the administration of the Assessment in The Line process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.

4. Maintaining efficient filing systems for the section, paying particular attention to confidentiality and safety-critical documents.

5. Undertaking general office administration duties for the section manager, utilizing a range of knowledge and skills to provide effective support.

6. Providing support and assistance to other Operations Support Specialists as directed.

Requirements

Essential:

• Experience in clerical support and office management.

• Excellent time management skills.

• Knowledge of relevant IT systems.

• Ability to work on own initiative.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of operational railway environment.
