Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic Older Adult Community Mental Health Team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services to our aging population, working alongside a well-established multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff, ensuring they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and Working Time Directive.
- Undertake administrative duties associated with patient care, including recording clinical activity and submitting reports to the Information Department.
- Participate in service and business planning activities for the locality and mental health service, contributing to the development of the team and broader services.
- Maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council, Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval, and adhere to professional codes of conduct.
- Participate in annual appraisal and job plan review with the clinical manager, ensuring the post is developed to reflect changes in service configuration and delivery.
