About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team at JRL Group Ltd. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing our HGV fleet and ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the transport team to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Effective liaison with other departments to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Ensure vehicle fleet compliance and maintenance
  • Assist the admin team in maintaining records and systems
  • Motivate the team to understand legislative requirements
  • Ensure authorized vehicles are kept at authorized operating centers
  • Notify traffic commissioners of changes to licenses or drivers
  • Develop the Transport team in engagement, communication, and people development
  • Manage and collate information for FORS accreditation
  • Ensure drivers comply with driver hours and tachograph rules

Requirements:

  • At least two years' experience in a similar logistics role
  • Experience of FORS accreditation and audit process
  • Experience of managing HGV fleet
  • Experience of managing an operator's license
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to follow and provide clear instructions
  • Strong organizational skills

  • Proactively contribute to long-term resource planning of the Transport Department
  • Proactively seek to understand financial performance and address inefficiencies
  • Communicate with confidence to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Take the lead in resolving unforeseen problems
