Job Responsibilities- Assist in the daily workload of the radiotherapy department, liaising with portering services, administration staff, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the coordination of patient appointments.
- Under the supervision of a registered practitioner, operate radiotherapy equipment in both treatment areas and the pre-treatment area.
- Maintain a high professional standard of patient care through the interpretation of treatment plans and the accurate delivery of treatment techniques using analytical, judgment, communication, and organizational skills to a high standard while under supervision.
As a Therapeutic Radiographer Trainee, you will have the opportunity to complete a BSc (Hons) degree in Therapeutic Radiography, approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). The degree will be delivered through a combination of on-the-job training and off-the-job learning, with a minimum of 20% of your time dedicated to study.
Requirements- 2 GCSE passes at grade C or grade 4 and above, including Mathematics, English language or literature. Level 2 equivalent literacy and numeracy qualifications will be accepted.
- 120 UCAS points from 3 A levels, or equivalent from national BTEC qualifications, extended diploma in applied science, health science, or health studies. OR Successful completion of an Access to HE Diploma in health studies, health science, nursing, or another science-based course. OR Previous degree in a related subject. OR Evidence of successful formal accredited study at level 3 and a minimum of 6 months experience in a health and social care capacity.
