Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

MARS Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team. As a key member of the product development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mechanical systems and products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical instruments and peripherals
- Collaborate with product managers, manufacturing, service, support, and installation teams to meet requirements
- Plan and manage deliverables on time
- Select and inspect suppliers, and handover to procurement
- Design and document prototype and instrument testing to meet mechanical requirements
- Experience in CAD packages, especially Solid Works
Requirements:
- Experience in the early start-up industry, specifically with laser's, spectroscopy, or photonics
- Ability to design and conduct sub-component and final product testing
- Experience with 3D printing and short-run parts
- Knowledge of regulations, including environmental and shipping/handling
