About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team at OpenSourced. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in the design, validation, and testing of hydraulic systems for a range of state-of-the-art projects aimed at decarbonizing the marine industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a small, dynamic team of engineers to develop systems for commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors of the Marine Industry.
  • Design and specify hydraulic systems, including producing schematics, 3D modelling, and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.
  • Provide commissioning and technical support for vessels.
Requirements
  • Higher education within a Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, or related field.
  • NFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (can be provided for a suitable candidate).
  • Strong understanding of Industrial and Mobile hydraulic systems and components.
  • Understanding of Mechanical systems.
  • Experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software.
  • Knowledge of the marine industry, classification societies, and electrical systems or PLC systems.
