About the Role
This exciting new position has been established to ensure that SOAS University of London can continue working towards reducing risk and achieving value for money in all its purchasing activity.
You will be working closely with the Head of Procurement and other stakeholders to manage the procurement of goods, services, and works. Your responsibilities will include providing expert procurement advice, running procurements, offering legal advice on risks, supporting contract management, promoting sustainable practices, and delivering training on procurement.
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, motivation, and the ability to make decisions and solve problems. You should have over 5 years of procurement experience across a broad range of categories and a keen interest in sustainable procurement.
This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. Our team is in the midst of a transformation, exploring new and innovative ways of doing things. There are plenty of opportunities to contribute to the development of the function overall, as well as day-to-day procurement operations.
