Procurement Manager

This iconic London sports team & venue is seeking a Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring all contracts and purchasing processes align with the club's strategic, financial, and sustainability requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing a procurement function that drives greater efficiencies, correlates to the club's culture and values, and centralises processes for contracts across all departments.
This role is pivotal in achieving the club's goal of being Net Zero by 2030, with a focus on sustainability and enabling the club to reinvest savings. Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including business partners and strategic suppliers, is crucial to improving business performance.
The Procurement Manager will:
- Liaise with key employees to determine product and service needs.
- Conduct a procurement audit, reviewing current supplier contracts, vendor history, and processes.
- Develop a formal procurement policy adhered to by senior leadership.
- Ensure consistency and compliance across various RFP processes.
- Prioritise the club's sustainability strategy in procurement processes.
- Perform procurement activities, including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, contract preparation, and tender management.
- Identify areas for improvement to drive performance and business results.
- Manage overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of procurement for the organisation.
- Introduce a reporting function to track key contractual obligations.
- Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation as required.
Reporting to the Company Secretary and FD, this role is ideal for an individual with an interest in sport and a passion for procurement.
