As a Risk Management Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating the risk oversight processes and framework within the project.

Reporting directly to the Risk Management Lead, you will collaborate closely with Senior Risk Management Specialists and Risk Leaders to enhance delivery reliability and stakeholder assurance by fostering a proactive risk management culture.


Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a risk management specialist within a project, assisting the Risk Lead/Senior Risk Management Specialist.
- Conduct risk assessments and one-on-one interviews within program and area teams.
- Guide risk owners in delivering precise and succinct risk information.
- Identify areas requiring attention to maintain an updated risk register.
- Evaluate key assumptions and risk mitigation strategies through discussions with risk owners.
- Support Senior Risk Management Specialists and Risk Leaders in identifying, maintaining, and reviewing Portfolio and cross-cutting risks.
- Assist in project risk identification workshops and specific risk deep dives.
- Generate risk and opportunity insights for presentation at Delivery and Program Risk Review Meetings and ROTCs.
- Manage and validate risk information within analytical dashboards.
- Provide analytical support through thorough analysis and interpretation of technical, financial, and performance data.
- Produce accurate risk insights and reports to identify gaps in process adherence.
- Collaborate with Project Control Managers to support program teams and Tier 1 Contractors in assessing contractor-held risks.
- Propose and contribute to enhancements of the integrated risk management procedures, processes, reports, and tools.
- Lead training sessions on risk management for project teams and maintain supporting materials.
- Promote and instill a culture of good governance, risk awareness, and compliance across the organization.

Additional Duties:
- Provide office services such as reprographics, scanning, filing, and binding.
- Arrange travel, accommodation, hire vehicles, and hospitality as needed.
- Facilitate risk discussions with PMO and project teams.
- Exhibit effective communication skills to present risk management information and training materials.
- Maintain high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of outputs and validity of data.

Qualifications:
- Minimum HND or equivalent qualification in project management, project controls, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in a Project Management environment is desirable.
- Previous experience in risk management and/or project controls is advantageous.
- Familiarity with risk analysis and presentation of risk data using qualitative and quantitative techniques.
- Experience with risk management toolsets is beneficial.
- Knowledge of analytical reporting tools.
- Proficiency in standard office software.
- Understanding of databases.
