Principal CDM Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal CDM Designer to join our team at Skilled Careers. As a key member of our design consultancy, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our clients and their projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate with multiple team members, including designers, contractors, and clients, to ensure compliance with relevant duties and regulations.
  2. Provide pre-construction information to designers, contractors, and clients.
  3. Assist clients in validating the health and safety credentials of contractors.
  4. Undertake safety by design review workshops.
  5. Attend client meetings and advise on Health and Safety guidelines.
  6. Guide the design team and client through Health and Safety requirements.
  7. Organise design risk workshops and review designers' risk assessments.
  8. Liaise with client representatives, contractors, and clients regarding health and safety.
  9. Review contractors' information, including Construction Phase Health & Safety plans.
  10. Produce and issue fee schedules and project reports.
Requirements
  1. At least 5 years' experience in a similar role with a focus on Construction Design Management.
  2. Experience working on projects led by MEP services.
  3. Data Centre and/or large-scale infrastructure project experience.
  4. Knowledge of MEP building services and NEBOSH Diploma.
  5. Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation methods.
  6. Knowledge of MS Office applications.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with designers and contractors.
  8. Delivery of contract and program management.
  9. Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
