Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and respond to complex cyber incidents, utilizing your expertise in threat hunting, intrusion detection, and incident response.
- Develop and implement effective security strategies to prevent and mitigate cyber threats, leveraging your knowledge of security architecture, security technology, and penetration testing methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address security vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity of our systems and data.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies, applying your knowledge to improve our security posture and incident response capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing, investigating, and responding to complex cyber incidents.
- Deep knowledge of security systems, security architecture, security technology, and associated penetration testing and Security Event Management methodologies.
- Expertise in Splunk queries, dash boarding, use case creation, and Enterprise Security.
- Familiarity with Cyber Security Methodologies, including the Cyber Kill Chain, Mitre ATT&CK Framework, NIST, and MITRE Def3nd.
- Ability to identify developing patterns and trends in data, providing incident root cause analysis and influencing future prevention.
- Experience with security technologies and defenses, including Firewalls, Snort, Bro, IDS monitoring, and custom rule creation (YARA).
- Strong understanding of IT systems and technologies, including Linux and Windows operating systems, email, proxies, endpoint protection, and SIEM architecture.
- Working knowledge of XDR and Vulnerability Management, Incident Response tooling, and sandboxing technologies.
- Understanding of DFIR toolsets, memory and file system analysis, and attack vectors.
- Knowledge of Data Protection (GDPR) and its role within a business.
Desirable Qualifications
- Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC), such as Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA), and Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM).
