Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and supervise the daily operations at our Heathrow line station. You may also be called upon to assist at our Gatwick station, where aircraft inspection and repair services are conducted.

Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that all aircraft departing overnight meet our stringent standards for seat functionality. At Panasonic Avionics, we pride ourselves on our Maintenance Services, where effective staffing and scheduling are critical to our success.

This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in the aviation sector, including models such as the A350 and 787/777.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of your team and the clients we serve, addressing health and safety regulations to maintain compliance.
  • Plan and coordinate weekly shift schedules for personnel in alignment with flight operations.
  • Oversee inventory management and logistics for customer needs and Panasonic Avionics assets.
  • Develop preventive maintenance schedules for systems on customer aircraft during operational holds.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and local airport authorities for logistical coordination.
  • Occasionally perform maintenance tasks onboard and provide support in the absence of team members.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of direct reports, ensuring high standards of work.
  • Utilize discretion and sound judgment to address various operational challenges effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Aircraft Line Maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Safety Management principles in Aviation.
  • Possess the necessary regulatory qualifications for the UK CAA B1 or B2.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict management skills.
  • Physical capability to perform manual tasks and work in varying environmental conditions.
