We are thrilled to announce the introduction of our Mini Active Toddlers program, featuring indoor Soft Play Sessions on select mornings. We are currently seeking a dedicated Soft Play Lead to manage these sessions. In this role, you will oversee and facilitate activities for children in a soft play setting, designed to promote active play, exploration, and social interaction in a secure environment.
The atmosphere is typically vibrant, filled with energy and activity. While the role can be physically demanding, it is also immensely fulfilling, as you contribute to the growth and enjoyment of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the effective delivery of Soft Play Sessions, meeting established objectives.
- Supervise children to guarantee safe play, adherence to rules, and prevention of hazardous behavior.
- Provide an enjoyable, exciting, and secure experience for all participants.
- Engage with children through leading age-appropriate activities, games, and storytelling.
- Maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and equipment checks between sessions.
- Interact with children, parents, and guardians, addressing concerns and providing information about the play area.
- Be prepared to manage minor injuries or incidents, administering first aid as necessary.
Essential Skills:
- Availability on designated mornings during school term periods.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong planning, decision-making, and organizational abilities.
- Background in childcare, education, or a related field.
- Passion for creating positive experiences for children.
- Positive attitude and patience when interacting with children of diverse ages and temperaments.
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
- Commitment to undertaking necessary training and adhering to company policies.
- Reliability and consistency as a team member.
Desirable Experience:
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as nurseries, playgroups, or leisure centers.
- Early Years Qualification (preferred).
- Current Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid certification (preferred).
- Experience in program management.
