Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centered care and support to individuals with complex mental health needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans, working closely with individuals, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance, helping individuals to manage their mental health and develop coping strategies.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive living environment, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless care and support, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the quality of care.
Requirements
  • Experience working with individuals with complex mental health needs, preferably in a residential care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Knowledge of mental health theories, models, and interventions, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Basic life support training and first aid certification.
