We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse to join our team at Spire Healthcare Ltd. As a Senior Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting and leading our experienced cardiac team to ensure our patients receive the highest levels of care.
Key Responsibilities- Support and Lead the Cardiac Team: As a Senior Nurse, you will work closely with our experienced cardiac team to ensure our patients receive the highest levels of care.
- Clinical Procedures: You will be responsible for undertaking clinical procedures that require dexterity and accuracy, including scrubbing for a full range of complex interventional cardiology procedures.
- Communication and Teamwork: You will utilize your inter-departmental communication skills to support your cardiology patients throughout the whole Spire Healthcare journey.
- Cardiology Support: You will provide cardiology support to ward & critical care patients, acting as a subject matter expert to other staff.
- Preparation and Organization: You will prepare an operating Hybrid theatre/anaesthetic room/outpatient cardiology suite for procedure, ensuring waste is kept to a minimum and all necessary equipment is available and in working order.
- Leadership and Mentorship: You will run a cardiology list without supervision and supervise/mentor junior staff (subject to experience).
- Current NMC Registration: You must be currently registered with the NMC with no restrictions on practice.
- Experience and Skills: You will have at least 3 years' experience within a cardiac catheter lab scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures, including EPS ablation. You will also be ALS trained and have excellent organisational skills.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: You will be capable and confident, with the ability to work on your own initiative and have a flexible approach to work and working patterns.
