Senior Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Cardiac Catheter Lab Nurse to join our award-winning cardiology team at Spire Nottingham Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our cardiac services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse to join our dynamic team and take on a leadership role in the Cardiac Catheter Lab. You will be responsible for supporting and leading our experienced cardiac team to ensure our patients receive the highest levels of care. Your expertise and leadership skills will be essential in driving the success of our cardiac services and contributing to the hospital's mission to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and lead the cardiac team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our cardiac services
  • Collaborate with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure high standards of care
  • Prepare operating theatres and equipment for procedures
  • Run cardiology lists without supervision and supervise/mentor junior staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice
  • At least 3 years' experience within a cardiac catheter lab scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures
  • ALS trained
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to work and working patterns
