Prudential Risk Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Prudential Risk Specialist to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our Financial Risk Oversight function, you will play a critical role in providing specialist regulatory advice and ensuring compliance with prudential regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Specialist Regulatory Advice: Offer expert guidance on prudential regulatory requirements, including interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
- Monitor and Report on Regulatory Change: Stay up-to-date with regulatory developments and provide regular updates to the team on changes that may impact our business.
- Maintain Prudential Regulations: Ensure that our library of prudential requirements is accurate and up-to-date, and work with 1st line teams to evolve management information for compliance with the prudential landscape.
- Create Key Outputs: Develop monthly and quarterly reports on key prudential publications for distribution and committees.
- Build Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, representing prudential risk at internal meetings and providing expert advice on regulatory matters.
- Proven Prudential Regulatory Experience: A minimum of [X] years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of prudential regulatory requirements.
- Specialist Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of prudential regulations, including interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Self-Motivated: A self-motivated individual with a desire to stretch themselves and seek out new challenges.
