We are seeking a highly skilled Prudential Risk Manager to join our Financial Risk Oversight team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist regulatory advice and support to ensure compliance with prudential regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist regulatory advice on core prudential rules, including interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
- Monitor and report on regulatory change within your portfolio, ensuring that the Society meets the expectations of the Prudential Regulation Authority.
- Maintain a list of applicable prudential regulations and work with 1st line teams to evolve management information for compliance with the prudential landscape.
- Build and develop relationships at a senior level, representing prudential risk at internal meetings and providing specialist core prudential regulatory advice.
- Support the wider team with prudential compliance knowledge and work with Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to ensure consistency of approach to managing regulatory change.
- Proven prudential regulatory experience, with a detailed knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience of providing specialist core prudential regulatory advice, including interest rate risk in the banking book, market risk, liquidity risk, capital risk, and model risk management.
- Ability to interpret complex and sometimes conflicting regulation, providing attention to both detail and the big picture of the regulators' agenda.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional business relationships with key contacts.
