About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Animal Behaviourist to join our team, providing specialist behaviour consultations for dogs with behaviour problems, including human-directed aggression.

As a key member of our Community Clinical Animal Behaviour team, you will work closely with dog guardians to provide follow-up support and help keep behaviour modification plans on track.

You will deliver behaviour services, clinical consultations, and assessments through in-person and virtual means, ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist behaviour consultations for dogs with behaviour problems
  • Liaising with dog guardians and providing follow-up support

This is a fixed-term, maternity cover contract until December 2025, and the role is home-based with significant travel across South West England.

About You

We are looking for an individual with a degree-level qualification in animal behaviour or welfare, and extensive experience working in the field of dog behaviour and welfare.

You will have a thorough understanding of dog behaviour, training, and welfare, and be accredited as a Certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CCAB) or hold equivalent qualifications and clinical experience.

As a skilled communicator, you will have excellent counselling skills and the ability to express behaviour modification techniques in clear, understandable language.
