Job Title: Assistant Psychologist - East Midlands

Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Assistant Psychologist to join our team at the East Midlands Gambling Harms Service. As an Assistant Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the professional care of service users receiving support from our multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support and enhance the professional care of service users receiving support from the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assist in the running of groups, co-facilitating treatment groups, and individual stabilization work.
  • Support the team with initial assessments and undertake projects relating to service development and evaluation.
  • Liaise with 3rd sector organizations to assist the service in its co-production.
  • Assist service promotion and support literature reviews and evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

  • Good honours degree in psychology or above.
  • Eligible for graduate membership of BPS.
  • Experience of working in a mental health setting and previous experience of working as an Assistant Psychologist or equivalent role.

Working for Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust:

The East Midlands Gambling Harms Service is a well-supported multidisciplinary team that sits within DHCFT specialist services. The post holder will also be part of the Psychological Therapies Division, which facilitates regular specialized supervision and training.
