Amber Mace is in search of a remarkable Care Home Manager to join a dedicated team focused on enhancing the quality of life for individuals.

This medium-sized, modern care facility specializes in providing exceptional support for individuals facing complex mental health challenges, dementia, neuro-disabilities, and physical disabilities.

Our client prides itself on maintaining high standards, with nearly all facilities rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding'.

Role Overview:


As a Commissioning Manager, you will have the unique chance to develop your own service and assemble your team from the ground up.

Your leadership will be vital in managing all facets of the facility, including quality improvement initiatives, team management, financial oversight, and client relations.

With advanced digital systems implemented, you will have more time to engage with your team and the individuals you support, rather than being bogged down by paperwork.


Key Duties:

  • Spearhead quality improvement initiatives and ongoing enhancements across the service.
  • Recruit, mentor, and motivate your team to provide exceptional care.
  • Manage referrals and occupancy levels, ensuring the facility operates at full capacity.
  • Analyze performance data to make informed decisions that improve service delivery.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with local commissioners and healthcare professionals.
  • Oversee financial management to guarantee the sustainability and success of the business.
  • Drive customer engagement and marketing strategies.

Candidate Profile:

  • Valid first-level nursing registration with a current Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
  • In-depth knowledge of nursing care best practices, relevant legislation, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with local commissioners and healthcare professionals.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide your team.
  • Strong time management abilities, skilled at balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • A diverse skill set, encompassing clinical, business, digital, and operational expertise.
