Overview:
Reed Engineering is in search of a Strategic Planning Manager to assist the Head of Service in the comprehensive management of the service sector, focusing on strategic, operational, and financial aspects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a catalyst for change, ensuring beneficial outcomes for residents and stakeholders while executing Strategic Asset Management.
  • Formulate long-term strategies that prioritize the needs of residents and the community, ensuring sustainability of our housing and services.
  • Lead and manage both Capital and Revenue investment initiatives across the housing sector.
  • Support the development of overarching asset strategies, investment profiles, and options assessments utilizing reliable asset data.
  • Coordinate the gathering and management of asset and condition data to facilitate effective program development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to create and implement proposals, commissioning specialized input as necessary.
  • Foster a team-oriented approach to data and intelligence, establishing essential relationships for comprehensive planning and programming.
  • Advocate for the Asset Management Strategy, ensuring that policies and plans align with established housing standards.
  • Supervise asset and technical specialists while managing assigned managers, ensuring timely and budget-compliant program delivery.
  • Provide assurance of accurate and current asset data to support program development and strategy implementation.
  • Oversee the commissioning and procurement processes, ensuring quality and value for money.
  • Manage complaint investigations, ensuring prompt resolution and implementing solutions to address service deficiencies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Housing, or Project Management, or equivalent (Essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to implement a comprehensive asset management strategy (Essential).
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budget and contract management (Essential).
  • Familiarity with the regulatory framework for housing standards (Desirable).
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.
