Rheumatology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Rheumatology Specialist Nurse to join our team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a nurse to advance the care of patients with Rheumatic Diseases and work closely with the Rheumatology Consultants, Specialist Nurses, and nursing administration staff.
Main Responsibilities- Lead nursing responsibility for the caseload of patients within the Rheumatology Services.
- Provide effective nursing leadership, expertise, advice, and support to the multidisciplinary team and ensure the provision of high-quality care to patients within the Rheumatology Service.
- Act as a role model and expert practitioner in relation to Rheumatology nursing.
- Coordinate all aspects of nursing care and support from the pre-test stage and diagnosis in their social, emotional, and health needs, referring to appropriate professionals and services where necessary.
- Act as a resource to patients with a Rheumatology condition and for other professionals caring for them.
- Promote an innovative and progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research and evidence-based practice.
- Appropriate Registered Practitioner
- Evidence of post-registration development in Rheumatology
- Practice assessor or equivalent teaching qualification
- Masters' degree in Rheumatology
This is a substantive and full-time (37.5 hours per week, 5 days Monday - Friday) position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
