Tradebe Inutec is seeking a skilled Health Physics Surveyor to provide radiological safety support to our operations teams and analytical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine health physics monitoring tasks to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Provide health physics support to operational, analytical projects, maintenance, and project management teams.
  • Assist in the sentencing of out-of-scope and exempt wastes.
  • Monitor items out of controlled contamination areas.
  • Carry out air sampling and calculate airborne contamination levels.
  • Set up and declassify radiological supervised and controlled areas.
  • Leak test radioactive sources and perform environmental monitoring.
  • Maintain health physics records and coach staff in radiological best practice.
  • Provide health physics training and support during emergency situations.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Radiation Protection or City and Guilds Stage 1 in Radiation Safety Practice.
  • Previous experience in active plant operations and monitoring techniques.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Self-motivated and able to wear Respiratory Protective Equipment.
