Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide high-quality psychological input to neurodiverse children and young people, their families, and professional networks. This includes complex assessment and intervention when there are significant and complex mental health needs supported by the pathway. You will collaborate with other pathways to support the most effective approach for children and young people to have consistent experiences of care.

You will have regular clinical supervision and line management. You will be supported with a job plan and opportunities to develop supervision, leadership, using research skills, and engage in service development. There is a strong and friendly network of Clinical Psychologists working across CFHD, enjoying shared CPD and professional support. We also have excellent links with local Doctoral courses for teaching and Trainee placements.

We can consider applications for part-time as well as full-time roles.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of Clinical Psychologists working with children and young people in Devon. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working with colleagues including Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, and Mental Health Practitioners from a diverse range of backgrounds.

The appointed Clinical Psychologists will become valuable members of the team, contributing to quality improvement and service development. You will have the opportunity to work in a team with a strong multidisciplinary ethos as well as collaborating with colleagues in other pathways and working in partnership with other agencies such as local Paediatric teams and education providers.

Requirements
  • A Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent e.g. Masters level qualification in Clinical Psychology if qualified before 1996.
  • Post qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people.
  • Post qualification training or proven equivalent experience in supervision.
