This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in our Paediatric Physiotherapy team at Douglas Street Clinic in Hamilton. As a Specialist Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for leading a designated clinical area, managing a caseload, and supervising junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students.
You will provide a specialized resource to other healthcare staff, patients, and carers, and be actively involved in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a designated clinical area and manage a caseload of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and discharges.
- Supervise and develop junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students within the speciality.
- Provide a specialized resource to other healthcare staff, patients, and carers.
- Contribute to Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.
- Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration.
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
- Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice.
- Leadership skills to enable day-to-day management of service delivery.
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
- Car driver with valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence.
This is a fixed-term or secondment position for 6 months, working 18.5 hours per week.
Please note that this is a part-time post, and the salary will be pro-rata.
Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in Physiotherapy - Paediatrics at Douglas Street Clinic in Hamilton.
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, days.
