The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our South Stroke neurological rehabilitation team at NHS Lanarkshire. This is a specialist role that requires a deep understanding of neurological rehabilitation and the ability to work with patients with complex needs.

About the Team

Our team provides Occupational therapy and Physiotherapy to patients with stroke and neurological conditions across South Lanarkshire. We are a forward-thinking team that values innovation and excellence in our practice.

About the Role

As an Occupational Therapist in this role, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with stroke and neurological conditions. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with stroke and neurological conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient goals
  • Contribute to the development of the team's practice and policies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
  • Postgraduate expertise in neurological rehabilitation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards in neurological rehabilitation
  • Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
