Gastroenterology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, with a focus on nutrition and intestinal failure. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our intestinal failure workload and help shape a developing service.
Key Responsibilities- Support the provision of intestinal failure services as one of the largest IF centres in the UK.
- Contribute to outpatient and endoscopy targets, as well as general gastroenterology inpatient care.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient experience and outcomes.
- High level of clinical experience and competence in gastroenterology, with expertise in managing patients with complex nutritional needs and intestinal failure.
- Eligible for full registration with the GMC and hold a current license to practice.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, with experience in training undergraduate medical students and postgraduate doctors.
- Ability to carry out medical research and participate in regular clinical audit.
- MBBS MBChb or equivalent qualification.
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant higher degree (MD/PhD).
- JAG accreditation in endoscopy or equivalent.
- Experience in training endoscopic skills.
