Exciting Opportunity for a Financial Professional

Page Personnel Finance is seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistant to join our team. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £27,000 depending on experience.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Completing daily and monthly reconciliations of all bank receipts and payments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Reconciling and balancing monthly intersystem payments across accounting systems, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Providing assistance to branches to help them identify till mistakes and reconcile branch takings to cash/cheque/card payments received.
  • Reconciling shop takings to retail ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Preparing and posting journals into accounting systems, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Performing other similar duties within the department as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working within a finance role, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work towards deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and priority.
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

What We Offer
