A strong understanding of Primary Care is essential to deliver nursing services effectively to our patient population while adhering to the defined scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for the following core functions, which must be performed competently and independently, following established protocols:
- Administering childhood vaccinations
- Providing general immunization services
- Conducting cervical screening
- Promoting health and wellness
- Managing chronic health conditions
- Offering contraception and sexual health guidance
- Performing home visits as necessary
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will:
- Hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
- Possess a minimum of two years of experience in a general practice setting
- Maintain up-to-date training and documentation
- Be willing to undergo a background check
- Have a valid driving license and appropriate insurance for business use
- Exhibit proficiency in using clinical software such as Emis Web and Docman
