About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Platform Engineer to join our team at Moody's. As a key member of our platform engineering team, you will play a critical role in enhancing our platform's DevEx, performance, reliability, and scalability.

Your primary focus will be on close collaboration with developers to improve our platform's efficiency, reliability, and scalability. You will work closely with our ML engineers, data scientists, engineers, and product teams to develop, deploy, test, and maintain production-grade access to large language models (LLMs), fine-tune shared agents and services, and work on MLOps & LLMOps.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing a smooth local development environment for Kubernetes deployed services running Docker locally for multiple services.
  • Coordinating with development teams to facilitate experimentation and functional testing of applications, setting up and implementing test frameworks for unit, integration, and contract tests.
  • Evolving and maintaining CI/CD processes for streamlined development and deployment.
  • Creative and inquisitive mindset, with skills in independent research and creating proof of concept (POC) projects.
  • Creating comprehensive documentation and conducting training sessions to support our tools and processes adoption and usage.
  • Contributing to product direction discussions and helping shape the product roadmap.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in Python.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines and AI software development life cycles (MLOps).
  • Experience with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Supporting users on Mac/Linux/Windows platforms.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
