Job Title: Assistant Subsea Engineer

Stena Drilling Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Subsea Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the assembly, operation, maintenance, testing, and disconnection of subsea blowout preventers, marine risers, and related equipment.
  2. Maintain and repair heave compensating equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Supervise the running and retrieving of subsea equipment and maintain subsea running and retrieving tools.
  4. Ensure all modifications, breakdowns, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance of subsea equipment are conducted to OEM and Stena Policy standards.
  5. Ensure good housekeeping in the area of responsibility and maintain awareness of Contract and Re Bills relating to Subsea Equipment.
  6. Participate in Pre-Job Safety Meetings and attend weekly safety meetings to ensure a safe working environment.
  7. Complete a documented end-of-tour handover in line with Stena Drilling's Handover/Reporting Procedure.
  8. Consult approved copies of the Operator's Instructions and the Drilling Programme regarding information relative to the Subsea Department.
  9. Ensure the appropriate barriers are in place and the relative announcement made on the PA system prior to the commencement of critical operations.
Requirements:
  1. Industry-recognised engineering qualifications.
  2. Previous experience offshore.
  3. Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  4. Previous experience with similar subsea systems.
  5. Ability to read technical drawings and understand complex systems.
