Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance and Weighbridge Specialist, your primary objective will be to guarantee that both raw materials and finished products meet all quality and regulatory standards.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Quality Assurance

- Perform laboratory assessments on incoming raw materials and in-process products, interpreting results using various laboratory and specified equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, tests, and product samples.
- Classify, label, and appropriately store samples.
- Operate the weighbridge, manage sampling, and record goods received.
- Communicate effectively with transport drivers to ensure accurate load information is collected.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and workspaces after use.
- Carry out basic administrative tasks as necessary.

Out-loading Operations

- Conduct thorough inspections of trailers before loading to ensure compliance with Food & Feed Safety standards.
- Safely operate the out-loading silo to ensure the correct quantity of product is prepared for dispatch.
- Collect samples, label, and store them appropriately.
- Perform routine magnet checks and document findings, reporting any adverse results to the line manager.
- Conduct daily LEV procedural checks and record findings, reporting any issues to the line manager.
- Ensure work areas are regularly cleaned and hygiene protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with the Production Supervisor/Manager to maintain CHIT levels.
- Liaise with transport companies as needed regarding malt collections.
- Undertake basic administrative tasks as required.

Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)

- Adhere to site SHE standards, including PPE/RPE requirements at all times.
- Follow procedures, policies, and SHE regulations diligently.
- Maintain effective communication to ensure understanding and compliance with necessary policies and procedures.

Behavioral Expectations

- Consistently uphold high standards through personal example, promoting these standards throughout the site so that every team member understands the expected behaviors.
- Align personal actions and behaviors with the Company Values (Strive, Care, Inspire, and Explore) and actively encourage team members to do the same.

Desired Qualifications

- Experience in fast-paced laboratory or dispatch environments.
- Customer service experience in a client-facing role.
- Secondary education with GCSEs grades A – C.
- A malting qualification is preferred or a willingness to pursue one.
- Counterbalance FLT License.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic to intermediate IT skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite.
