ADP is seeking a Lead UX Research Strategist
• Are you a motivating leader who can guide your team towards success?
• Do you aspire to be part of a vibrant, inclusive team culture that values collaboration and belonging?
• Are you attuned to client requirements and dedicated to utilizing research to craft intuitive, user-friendly experiences?
This could be the opportunity for you. Are you ready to shape the future?
In this position, you will serve as a pivotal figure in ADP's UX Research division, reporting directly to the head of UX Research. Your role will involve identifying and implementing various research methodologies to inform the development of ADP's Human Capital Management solutions, influencing employees and practitioners worldwide. Each day, you and your team will represent the voice of our users, collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and developers. Your mission is to deepen understanding by analyzing research data and posing critical questions that guide our product and design strategies. You will assist developers in comprehending client needs to enhance product offerings.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong leadership skills and a talent for coaching individuals, actively engaging your team and assessing success. You are adept at formulating effective research strategies using both qualitative and quantitative approaches, articulating your methods to stakeholders in a manner that fosters trust, and knowing when to adjust your plans. You will identify potential challenges and proactively address risks in alignment with your leadership. You will prioritize tasks for your team and adeptly navigate changes in direction.
Most importantly, you listen to your partners with empathy, ensuring that client needs are central to your solutions. You communicate research findings clearly and know how to align stakeholders with actionable insights. Teams depend on your expertise, supported by data-driven research, to uncover new opportunities and achieve desired outcomes. You focus on nurturing the growth of individual team members and fostering a positive team culture.
As a passionate leader, you are committed to both engagement and results, and you are willing to immerse yourself in the work. Within our team, you will encounter exciting challenges, opportunities for career advancement, and the chance to build meaningful relationships as we shape the future for ADP and the industry. A fast-paced environment does not intimidate you; we still make time for enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities:
Here’s what you can expect in a typical day as a Lead UX Research Strategist at ADP:
● User-Centric Focus. You are deeply committed to understanding the individuals who utilize our products and how we can enhance their experiences. You effectively convey empathy for our clients to your project teams.
● Team Leadership. You will oversee a team of UX researchers, including recruitment, training, and empowering them to excel. You will manage research projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality, actionable insights. You will guide your team in developing research plans and executing them effectively.
● Strategic Planning. By employing effective research methods and strategies, you will play a crucial role in steering your team’s direction. You understand how to translate product roadmaps into research strategies that align with business needs.
● Cross-Functional Collaboration. You will engage daily with diverse teams, such as product managers, designers, and engineers, to prioritize research initiatives. You will identify user needs and behaviors, advocating for a human-centered approach in all projects.
● Data-Driven Insights. You are skilled in gathering both quantitative and qualitative data to meet product objectives and support data-informed design. You will assist your team in analyzing and interpreting research data into insights that guide product decisions.
● Diverse Responsibilities. No two days are alike. You may find yourself conducting one-on-one discussions with team members or developing a comprehensive research strategy across multiple products. You will stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with a robust commercial background in user research within B2B and/or B2C enterprise environments.
• Previous experience in user experience research across software products, web, and/or mobile applications, as well as familiarity with research and prototyping tools such as Qualtrics, UserZoom, UserTesting, and Figma will equip you for success in this role.
• Additional expertise in user behavior analytics, workshop facilitation, product strategy, or experience in a continuous research and discovery framework is a plus.
Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here:
● Engage in Courageous Collaboration. We value associates who are willing to engage in challenging conversations, take ownership, and challenge each other’s ideas to discover the best solutions.

● Act with Ownership. Driven by our mission, you will be empowered to tackle challenges and solve complex problems. No task is too small or too large; we are hands-on and dedicated to mastering our craft.
● Give Back to the Community. We prioritize doing what is right for our clients and community, supporting our associates through ADP's Philanthropic Foundation.
● Join a Company Committed to Equality. We aim to create lasting change through our actions.
