General Manager's Assistant Role

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a General Manager's Assistant at our Fulfillment Center. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the General Manager and driving communication within the site.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plan and coordinate employee engagement events, including competitions, celebrations, and handouts, while managing associated budgets and deadlines.
  2. Develop and implement site-specific projects, working closely with stakeholders to deliver results.
  3. Manage communication channels across the Fulfillment Center, including newsletters, corporate communications, and site-specific message boards and feedback channels.
  4. Act as the site Charity Champion, coordinating the site charity budget and working with central teams to embed network initiatives.
  5. Manage the network recognition programs onsite, driving participation amongst the leadership team and associate population.
  6. Provide administrative support to the General Manager, including diary management, travel arrangements, and recording actions of meetings.
  7. Work closely with support staff to build and secure robust support and resources for projects and initiatives.
  8. Welcome and coordinate visitors on behalf of the General Manager and leadership team.

This is a Monday-to-Friday role, with occasional additional hours and flexibility to adjust the work schedule as needed. Travel between sites may be required.

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in the key responsibilities of the role, including effective prioritization and delivery of multiple assignments. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is essential, as is attention to detail and problem-solving skills. High proficiency in English is also required.

Previous experience in a large-scale, rapid, and process-driven environment would be beneficial, as would a degree-level qualification or equivalent.
